I’m gonna not include the Otsusuki because fuck them they aren’t shinobi. Also each character will be on their strongest form and whoever is on top can beat whoever is on the the bottom one on one. The abilities or forms they had are when they can stack them on eachother. So forexample Naruto’s strongest form was when he had six paths sage mode and kcm 2 etc.. so I won’t be mentioning his Sage mode because he isn’t using it at that time.

This should be pretty obvious so let me just go through what he had during this form

Him and Sasuke are the only ones that come near that formed of Madara I talked abt earlier. Although they could win tgt, 1v1 they loses horribly. Also it should be obvious that Naruto is stronger than Sasuke by this point. So this is what he had

- Six Paths Sage Mode + Six Paths Chakra
- A bit of all Bijuu Chakra
Sasuke is easily top 3 Ninjas of all time but he falls short to Naruto as we’ve seen countless time that since the beginning of the war arc naruto is stronger than him. His powers includes
- Rinnegan ( 6 tomoe )
- EMS
- All Bijuu chakra when he caught them
Keep in mind this is their strongest forms so I had to add the Bijuu he sealed with Chibaku Tensei.
Kakashi Hatake
I didn’t know who to put at number 4. DMS Kakashi or Juubito. But Imma give it to DMS Kakashi since Obito was never shown to be able to use Kamui in his Juubi state. DMS kakashi was able to do a significant about of damage to Kaguya which is an impressive feat by its own and him being able to get a perfect susano’o on his first try really shows how talented of a shinobi kakashi is. During that form his powers include
- 2 Mangekyo Sharingan
- Kamui with literally every justu ( shuriken, raikiri etc.. )
- Remainding Six Paths Chakra Obito had which was enough to give kakashi a fucking perfect Susano’o
Jesus this whole top 5 is dominated by Uchihas lmao. Obito in this form was enough to fight on KCm Minato, Tobirama, Naruto, Sasuke, Hashirama and many more without leaving a scratch on his body. Except when naruto’s sage rasengan hit him. Keep in mind that all juubi Jinchuuriki can not be damaged unless it is with sage mode or you have insanely high amount of power like guy. Although he never used a rinnegan or ms ability during this form he was easily soloing the kage and the shinobi alliance. Just imagine if he did use the rinnegan and sharingan ( especially kamui). He would easily be above dms kakashi. You won’t be able to hit him because of his truth seeking orbs and even if u did, you can’t touch him because of kamui lmao how scary would that be.

Yes its the 8th Gate Guy. Even though it only lasted him for a few minutes, during that small amount of time very few would be able to go toe to toe against him. 8th Gate Guy is easily the strongest non sixpaths powered character in the entire franchise. If you look at my list above everyone had six paths enhancements.
- 8th Gate of Death ( lol, literally this only made him one of the strongest characters )
He was literally the strongest shinobi until the end of the series where the power levels rose to the sky lol. Even then he is able to fight some of the most powerful characters in the series.Even Edo Madara with 2 Rinnegan can’t completely overpower him. It was only when Madara was revived and got the tentails that he was able to go beyond Hashirama’s power.
- Sage Mode ( Its different from other sage modes we’ve seen so far but he’s easily the strongest sage mode users in the entire series not including six paths sage mode )
- Wood Release
- Hashirama Cells ( ofc he has them its his)
He is one of those few characters who doesn’t need explanation to why he is strong. But I still put him below Sage Hashirama because I don’t think he has anything that could hurt Hashirama. A tailbeast bomb would normally hurt people but Hashirama was the guy that tamed 8 out of the 9 so it won’t matter to him. Regardless of that his speed is now unmatched. Kcm 1 Naruto was able to dodge The 4th Raikage. But Minato has KcM 2 and ontop of that FTG and sage mode which makes him insanely fast. This was his powers during his peak. Just like Hashirama he was edo though.

The last 2 spots are where it gets hard to choose. Alot of people would want to put Itachi in this list but I don’t think he would make. But I do think Nagato would. It took the combine forces of Bee, Edo Itachi ( his strongest form ) and KcM 1 Naruto to beat him. He has Shinra Tensei which no other Rinnegan user was shown using so I’m assuming it is unique to him. Nagato is also leagues above his Pain form. The Pains were fragile. A sage naruto could easily knock one out with a rasengan ( it does had sage chakra though ). Nagato however easily overpowered a KCM Naruto.
- 2 Rinnegans
You could argue that he is stronger than Nagato but I feel like Nagato would beat him. Other than his Water Jutsu which Nagato can absorb. I don’t see any hard hitting moves. His paper bombs requires time to put but since he have FTG he should be able to make it quick. But that doesn’t stop Nagato from using Shinra Tensei to blow away all the Paper Bombs. Anyways he’s strong and would beat any other character except everyone on this list

Honestly 9,10 and Itachi could be in eachother’s place. But from my perspective This is how it should go in order . Feel free to comment and argue with me on who goes where lol. I’m not saying these are facts unlike other ppl..
I remember the first time I saw Minato in action, I asked myself, “is this guy truly Naruto’s father?”. Now the 12 year old knuckleheaded ninja who was always ranting about becoming Hokage, and upholding his Ninja way is actually now Hokage and is fanning the flames of the will of fire in young shinobi… You have to say, he has come a long way…
However, the question asks how has he done in comparison to his father. Let’s find out…
GENIN
Minato graduated the academy with the best scores, top of the class, plus he was charming and intelligent. At this level, he was able to take out three lightning Jonin who attempted to kidnap his future wife, Kushina. In doing this, he averted what could have possibly escalated into a war between the Leaf and the cloud. He also managed to catch the attention of one of the legendary sannin who the took him under his wing.
Naruto on the other hand graduated with the worst scores possible from the academy. At this level, he mastered a forbidden jutsu, the shadow clone, and with more practice, he could make thousands of clones. He also managed to save the village from the one tailed Shukaku, the sand spirit. Jiraiya also took interest in Naruto and trained him too. While Naruto was a genin he managed to learn an A class jutsu invented by his father and known only by Jiraiya.
JONIN AND HOKAGE
At this level, this man invented one of the hardest chakra shape change jutsu known to shinobi, the Rasengan, however he felt that this jutsu was incomplete. He also mastered and perfected the flying raijin invented by the second hokage, he mastered several different sealing Jutsus from his darling wife, Kushina, he gained worldwide fame and popularity as the fastest shinobi alive. He managed to end the third great Ninja war with one single act of awesomeness, slaying a thousand shinobi in seconds. Due to this, Minato was honoured with the seat of the 4th Hokage, he managed to save the village from utter destruction, in his last heroic act.
Naruto never got to the level of jonin, however, when his mates were at this level, Naruto was able to complete his father’s Jutsu, by infusing windstyle and creating the wind style rasenshuriken. He also took down two members of the Akatsuki, which is no small feat as many high ranked jonin lost their lives to this group. He mastered sage mode and managed to save his village from extermination, by using his special talk no jutsu to revive all the dead of the Pain attack. When Naruto became hokage, he saved the village again from Momoshiki Otsutsuki.
4TH GREAT NINJA WAR ARC
Minato was shown to have control over kurama’s chakra, and mastered sage mode. The very instant he arrived, he saved the allied shinobi force from doom, raising their morale in the process. He earned the praise of the previous Hokage, and played a vital role in the fight against Madara.
Naruto also mastered Kurama’s chakra, he was essential in the 4th great ninja war, sharing chakra through the allied forces. His never give up attitude boosted the confidence of other shinobi, as he lead in the war front. The previous Hokage also acknowledged him. With the help of Sasuke, he saved the world.
So yeah in summary, Naruto surpassed Minato, but not for the reason you may be thinking. Not just because he completed the rasengan, or because he saved the village two times more than his father, or because he achieved everything his father did, not because he became a god level shinobi, or because he saved the world. The real reason Naruto surpassed Minato was because he found the answer to Jiraiya’s question, “How does one come about bringing peace to the shinobi world?”, Naruto finally brought peace to the world, a peace that has lasted 13 good years. He finally united the shinobi world, and he finally did something about the hatred everywhere.
(Before i answer, i want to make one thing clear. I am not downplaying Minato nor am i trying to underestimate him,so please keep that in mind)
In one corner we have the Yellow Flash Of The Leaf.
And in the other corner we have the God Of Shinobi.
Who would be the winner if these two legendary Hokage duked it out in one-vs-one?
Undoubtedly Hashirama.
Now don’t get me wrong, Minato is incredibly strong and an amazing Kage, but we are talking about the literall God Of Shinobi.
Minato has virtually no chance to defeat Hashirama. Let’s see why.
Minato wouldn’t be able to blitz Hashirama. Alive Minato’s greatest speed feat is managing to dodge Ay’s punch:
Which solidifies him as an incredibly fast individual. But what is important to keep in mind is that KCM1 Naruto was able to pull of the same feat against a faster Raikage from a much more comfortable distance, without using FTG.
(That is after Naruto had just obtained KCM1 fyi.) This solidifies him as equal to Minato when it comes to speed, at the very least.
Later on,he mastered it and subsequently unlocked KCM2 ,which made him more powerful(and potentially faster, is what logic would imply)than he was before, in KCM1. He then attempted to blitz Edo Madara. This is how it played out:
Effortless block.
And then the counter.
Later on, Madara was revived via Obito’s Rinne Rebirth and started to regain his normal strength.
Being able to effortlessly blitz Sage Naruto and Sai, moving in such high speeds that Sage Naruto’s Pre-Cognition was rendered practically useless.
And considering that Hashirama was able to go hand-to-hand with Madara consistently, it means their speeds are relatively equal. (As well as their Taijutsu skills, keep this mind it will be important later on).
And seeing as how Hashirama scales to Madara, who was able to easily block and counter a blitz attempt from KCM2 Naruto, it stands to reason that Hashirama would be able to do the same thing.
Also, considering that a young Killer Bee was able to safely react to Minato not once
But twice
Then i really can’t, in good faith, make a good case for Minato blitzing Hashirama. He is undoubtedly faster than Hashirama via his FTG, but the notion that Hashirama will not be able to react and get blitzed doesn’t stand,considering all the evidence against it.
Hashirama can tank pretty much anything Minato can throw at him.
As stated by Madara, Tsunade’s Byakugou had pretty much the same effect as Hashirama’s Self Healing.(The difference was in the potency)
And he could perform it without weaving hand-signs, which means he could do it while fighting.
Minato’s most powerful attack was his Rasengan (and it’s variations) but Hashirama will barely feel them.
His healing factor is so strong that Madara, with just a few of his cells, was able to withstand an all out barrage from the Tailed Beasts:
And not only survive it, but describe it as a menial attack afterwards, as if mocking them.
Mean while ,pretty much anything Hashirama throws at Minato can defeat him.
How would FTG work against Hashirama?
Using FTG, Minato can potentially avoid most of Hashirama’s attacks. But just evading won’t grant him the victory here. And all of Minato’s attacks require him to get close to Hashirama to attack him.
However,he might wanna be careful when going up against the guy who was relatively Madara’s equal in Taijutsu and Kenjutsu
And has a whole arsenal to attack Minato instead of just a Kunai
Further more, Hashirama’s attacks usually cover a very large area.
And another important advantage Hashirama holds is that his Jutsu usually end up reforming the geography of the battlefield, rendering Minato’s marked Kunai useless.
How will Minato avoid the Deep Forest Bloom and the pollen that comes with it?
Or Hashirama’s God Of Fortune , that was able to produce hands that were comparable to a full Susano’o Cloaked Kyubi?
And of course, if Hashirama wants to end the fight before it even starts, his first Jutsu will be this:
Minato can’t really “dodge” any of the aforementioned attack since they cover a huge area and drastically alterate the terrain of the ground they are fighting on.
Let’s see if any other Jutsu in Minato’s arsenal would do the trick.
Frog Summons?
Hashirama has singehandedly captured all the Tailed Beasts. The Frog Summons,as powerful as they are, won’t give him any trouble. His wood golems and wood dragons have been shown able to easily apprehend even Kurama, the strongest Tailed Beast.
And his Gates Of The Great God have succesfuly held down the Ten Tails.
Ok then ,what about Minato’s Shadow Clones?
Hashirama counters with his own Wood Clones.
Minato’s Sage Mode then? That should give him the edge.
It normaly would,but Hashirama also has Sage Mode.
And if Hashirama activates his Sage Mode, Minato will have a really hard time landing a surprise hit on him. Madara ,via the Pre-Cognition that comes with Hashirama’s Sage Mode, was able to avoid Tobirama attacking his blind spot out of the blue.
Lastly , what about the Reaper Death Seal?
This actually could kill Hashirama, but even then Minato would die too, so it’s not really a win either. It’s a tie at best.
And even then, Hashirama can easily counter it if he just produces a bunch of Wood Clones,since Minato can’t tell the difference between a clone and the original. Only Madara could.
Minato can maybe teleport some medium scale attacks away from him, before he rans out of chakra.
But Hashirama doesn’t have this problem. Aside from having the Largest Chakra Reserves out of any Non-Six Paths Character, he was able to fight with Madara for a whole 24 hours without collapsing.
He can simply outlast Minato in a battle of endurance. Minato had large reserves, but Hashirama comes out on top by a large margin.
Conclusion.
Minato is a legendary Kage and one of the strongest in history ,but Hashirama is too out of his league to even compare. And that’s not something limited to just Minato. Hashirama is the strongest Non-Six Paths Shinobi ever, and there is literally only one person who could compare to him, and that is Madara.
