How strong would Kakashi be if he never got the sharingan?

Yes, Kakashi is way more powerful than he was with the Sharingan.

Shinobi’s ability comes in two form

1. Stamina: Kakashi now has more stamina than before. Sharingan was the drainage point of his chakra before. Thus he quickly lost his stamina and hence relied on “quick finishes”
2. Tactics: Kakashi is known for his deceptive skills and tactics and won most of the matches without putting much effort. He never “reinvents the wheel”. This has been proven in Kakashi’s past as well.

On the Stamina front, without Sharingan, he had huge chakra which basically means, he can hold the battle much longer. He can use multiple Chidori’s now instead of 4 per day as a limit. Many argue that Chidori required Sharingan. Wrong. Sharingan was just an enhancement. Kakashi has a single eye. To aim with Chidori with a single working eye was difficult as a single eye can only see 2 dimension and not 3. With a Sharingan, this lack was removed. Kakashi learned Chidori before he had the Sharingan. Chidori is a byproduct of the Rasengan. Now with 2 eyes, Kakashi can again do the Chidori same like he used to do before but it will be a downgrade. Thus he replaced it with Purple Lightning.

So if Kakashi was able to use Chidori before Sharingan then why he doesn’t use it now?

Because Kakashi will get killed.

Chidori is so fast that Kakashi’s entire chakra is concentrated at a single point thereby weakening his senses around himself. Anytime any opponent could backstab him. With the Sharingan, Kakashi had complete field view removing his lack that Minato mentioned. This is the reason why Sasuke didn’t teach Chidori to Boruto. But now that Kakashi doesn’t have Sharingan, he is more OP than before if only he can control his senses to enemies around which I am sure 6th Hokage can easily do. Also, Kakashi’s Chidori isn’t incomplete like what Minato said in the Anime.

It “looks” incomplete because any attack must be strong AND equipped with users senses around his body to know the surroundings. Kakashi lacked the latter. Even Minato’s Rasengan is incomplete until Naruto perfected it. But Minato did use the “incomplete” to defeat Obito didn’t he? Even Tsunade said, Rasenshuriken is incomplete and Naruto shouldn’t use it. Meh. Look how Naruto overcame that Tsunade shi*. If Naruto can do it, wouldn’t Kakashi be able to do it? Duh

Kakashi’s kamui was never complete. That was Kakashi’s last resort and not the “main” resort. So absence of Kamui won’t be a problem because, now he got the time and chakra as a compensation. Never give a tactician more time AND chakra because that will be your end. Naruto did the same with Obito and indirectly made him the TenTails jinchuriki.

Mastered 5 elements of Yin-Yang.

Kakashi can use all the elements but never used because as always, he had low reserves. This low reserve is the reason, why he resorted to Sharingan quickly without experimenting with his 1000 jutsus.

Experience

His experience is the key. Most of us like big bashing Susano or Wooden Golem as the benchmark of power. But remember that Madara defeated the Shinobi army with skills and experience “initially” and not with Susano (though afterwards). He has fought 3rd and 4th Shinobi Wars and has seen the end of the world. Just because, he acts lousy doesn’t mean he is “weak”. He acts lousy because nothing interests him anything at all other than “porn”.

Rasengan

He had low chakra, thus he avoided the Rasengan. His aim was never a Rasengan. His aim was to mix lightning nature into Rasengan therby inventing the Chidori. But his Rasengan is NO weak at all. Now with the chakra he has, Rasengan is in his sleeve.

Shadow Clones

Number of clones are actually a parameter one can use to determine how much chakra reserve a person has. Naruto can make 1000 clones. Sasuke can make 9 and Boruto can make 4 (Narh).

What about Kakashi?

Well.

Ahem Ahem……with Sharingan. So imagine the number of clones without Sharingan. This shows how much Chakra he has NOW.

Sussano

Yes Yes, he can’t use Sussano. But wait. Awakening Sussano requires mastery in chakra as well as MS control. Kakashi awakened it in an instant after receiving Sharingans. This proves his ability and precise control.

PS: Tommaso mentioned that Kakashi was bluffing. True. Because he already used his chakra while fighting Zabuza. He used Shadow clones instead of Multi Shadow Clones(Solid) to scare away the goons as it requires low chakra. TBH having Sharingan for most his life time, he basically dropped Multi Shadow Clone from his arsenal.

PS: TBH I looked at the Quora notifications and then to my answer and suddenly it struck to me why Kakashi didn’t use Chidori without the Sharingan and thereafter looked into the manga. Is Kakashi the weakest Hokage?

Okay i feel like a i have to answer this one. Not because of my severe knowledge of this topic, but because many people answering this question fail to do so.

As for the question itself. Yes, among the Kages in the past, Kakashi would be beaten by all of them. BUT, do not be fooled. He is a exceptionally strong shinobi, he was even able to help two demi-gods (Naruto and Sasuke), beat their god-”mother” (mother of their strengths). He is smarter than Tsunade, as well as probably Hiruzen and Hashirama. He knows many techniques others fail to learn, he can do so by only watching others perform the jutsu. So much for Kakashi.

But many people actually consider this a match between Kakashi and Tsunade. I do not see any reason why. Kakashi had a lot of time during the series to show us what he can do. Tsunade sat on the office all the time. But do i have to remind you Tsunade is twice older than Kakashi? By the time Kakashi was being born, she was already a legendary Sannin, the best medic out there and the strongest kunoichi. Many people consider this an achievement gained by her medical jutsu. Well that is not really truth, let me get back to it. Some people say “her power is useless if she cannot hit Kakashi”, ehm… That statement is true, but she is not slower than Kakashi. She just does not need to go all out showing her speed and strength, she did this only once during the show.

That happened when she and four other kages were fighting Madara (as many people say the most powerful shinobi ever). So i would say Madara would be the one to define speed, considerably faster than Kakashi. And what did he do, when Tsunade released her Strength of a Hundred Seal? Well, got hit, multiple times, and was literally shocked by how this old lady moves, and how she drives him back.

Of course we all know how was this resolved. She cannot compare to Madara, at least not in the state she was fighting him.

Lastly, i will remind you her rules:

1. First clause: "No medic ninja shall ever stop medical treatment until the lives of their party members have come to an end."
2. Second clause: "No medic ninja shall ever stand on the front lines."

So to make some kind of summary. Kakashi really is the weakest hokage, but one of the smartest and agile. And if there is anyone who would like to consider Tsunade weaker, read this above again.

Why did Kakashi not ended up with Sakura despite all the signs?

I didn't fully read the question, I just saw Kakashi and signs and I thought the question was about Hand Seals.

If your question was why did Naruto not 'ended' up with Sakura despite all the signs? , that would have been a very worthy question.

That is kinda wrong on many levels.

1. Kakashi doesn't give a thing about people to a level. In the anime, he had a chance to be with a woman and the entire team 7 goaded him but he refused.
2. You seem to think Sakura was a grown woman through out the series. At the end of the war, Naruto just became 17. Let's assume she's older than Naruto and she'll be 18 and Kakashi would be like 30 and above… you getting the logic. Gross mehn!
3. Really gross. Infact, let's talk about the signs you're talking about,
1. Kakashi smiling and telling Sakura it would be ok between Sasuke and Naruto at the hospital rooftop, that's soo wrong.
2. Kakashi looking after Sakura after she stupidly tried to take on Sasuke by herself with the tainted dagger - what was he supposed to do, let her die? She's his student after all.
3. Kakashi jumping to Sakura's defence after she was genjutsu-ed by Rinnegan Sasuke, you know, I'm tired of explaining, he loved her - hogwash
4. Or saving her with his susanoo against Kaguya…
5. Or protecting her after Sasuke and Naruto's final fight decimated the entire area…

Are those the signs you're talking about? Naruto is not some soap opera/telenovela. Please!!!

• His time in the Anbu enables him to suddenly approach enemies from behind, unnoticed by even other Anbu.
• Kakashi’s hand seal speed is fast enough, it makes his seals unreadable.

(Sharingan) Kakashi has a fighting chance, but (Current) Kakashi will never win against Itachi not even in million years.

Kakashi may defeat someone close to Itachi’s level or a little stronger, in Boruto series, but he’s no match for Itachi, because of his powerful Tsukuyomi, Totsuka Blade and Yata Mirror, with those he’s pretty much invincible.
